Collingwood Learner Driver Insurance

Q1 : Will other pupils be in the car with me?

A1 : NO! Unlike many schools, all our lessons are conducted on a one to one basis and you will not be sharing your lessons with other pupils.

Q2 : How many lessons will I need?

A2 : There are many factors that determine how many lessons you will end up needing. Age, gender, attitude, personality and the ability to practise when not in lessons all contribute.

Once you have had a few lessons, we will be better able to judge this for you.

  Q3 : Are you a qualified instructor?

A3 : Yes. In order to conduct driving lessons on a professional basis, all instructors must be registered with the DSA.

Some schools use 'PDI's (practising/potential driving instructors). These are registered instructors but who have not yet passed the final part of their instructors test. These will display a pink triangular sticker in the car window.

I am a fully qualified instructor and as such, display a green, hexagonal sticker in the car.

  Q4 : Can I have more than 1 lesson a week?

A4 : Of course you can. The less time between lessons will help you learn quicker as you will need to spend less time acclimatising yourself to the car each time. Please call to discuss availability.

Q5 : Can I have lessons more than 1 hour long?

A5 : Yes, many pupils find it beneficial to have longer lessons and, depending upon available time slots, 1.5 and 2 hour lessons can be arranged.

Q6 : How will I know I'm ready to take my test?

A6 : Together we will keep track of your progress and discuss this with you as appropriate. I will let you know when I feel you are ready to start thinking about booking a test.

Q7 : How do you structure your lessons?

A7 : I try to structure my lessons and work on the principal that when you have developed a sufficient skill in one subject of driving, We then move onto the next, Still retaining some practice on past skills, so that you don't forget what you have already learned.

Q8 : What is your pass rate?

A8 : my first time pass rate is very high, Around 85% of my pupils pass first time-see the testimonnials page to read just a few of the happy customers comments!

I lost all contact and couldn't get in touch with my original instructor a week before my test!!I gave Lee a call and somehow with Lee's positive and patient approach I managed to pass first time after having to learn how to drive in a brand new car. " ..... read full review

Choosing to learn with Lee Albon was a brillliant choice. I had previously had lessons with well-known driving schools and felt that I was just another pupil, but with Lee I was treated like an individual. Lees lessons were excellent! " ..... read full review
